I have been getting emails from readers. It appears that we have been affected by censorship online. People out there think we are not a serious news agency. We have been providing the service of destupifing people for years. Now it appears the people over at CNN, FOX NEWS, and maybe even MSNBC is trying to take us down. We will not stand for it.
We have decided to sit down and put on our thinking caps. In Ed’s case, it is a tall pointy cap, and he is delegated to the corner. We tried to put Sarah Jean in the corner, but Dr. Beakman said, “No one puts Sarah Jean in the corner.” That reminds me of a time I went to a summer resort. We learned to dance and had a grand old time. I will apply the life lessons I learned that summer to TWS.
The first change we decided on has already been implemented. We have a shiny new website. The second change is to let the award-winning authors be free to report on what they want. In the past, I have required them to report on topics I chose. I believe they have earned my trust and my wonderful company’s trust to make their own way in the informational world. My only fear is an overwhelming amount of Flutterbird articles and unnerving replies by the female population to overly hunky articles. We will cross those roads if and when we come to them.
The major change is the name of this historically significant institution. It has come to my attention that some readers have felt we are referring to them as stupid. It has also come to my attention that some readers are under the impression that one or more of my staff is stupid. I want everyone to chill out a bit. We believe that everyone needs to be destupified from time to time, including some of us at this fine publication. The upcoming change will better identify this institution without insulting the readers that made us #1 in the industry.
To the wimpier members of the reading community that hate the word stupid. You are all stupid, have stupid faces, think stupid thoughts, and wear stupid clothes. So There! And your faces are stupid.
